The 1st International Conference on Engineering and Technology (ICoEngTech) 2021 is organized by Faculty of Electronic Engineering Technology, Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) and Hadhramout University in collaboration with Center of Excellence Advanced Computing (AdvComp). It aims to bring together researchers and professionals from the academic, industrial and public sectors in the context of multi and inter-disciplinary forum and discussions on Engineering and Technology. This conference will provide an excellent opportunity of knowledge sharing and research ideas exchange in the abovementioned disciplines for a better quality of life to meet future challenges. This conference is open to all researchers, postgraduates and post-doctoral students from all over the world. The key benefit that can be achieved by the participants is that all accepted and presented papers will be submitted to Journal of Physics: Conference Series Proceedings, a conference proceedings journal which is indexed in CPCI – Web of Science (Thomson Reuters), SCOPUS, Inspec, International Nuclear Information System (INIS), NASA – ADS, Chemical Abstracts, Polymer Library, etc. For publication, it will require a final review by the publisher's editorial team.
Prayoot Akkaraekthalin (Member, IEEE) received the B.Eng. and M.Eng. degrees in Electrical Engineering from King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB), Bangkok, Thailand, in 1986 and 1990, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Delaware, Newark, DE, USA, in 1998. From 1986 to 1988, he was a research and development engineer with Microtek Co., Ltd., Thailand. In 1988, he joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, KMUTNB. His current research interests include RF/microwave circuits, wideband and multiband antennas, telecommunications, and electromagnetic-based sensor networks and systems. He has authored or co-authored over 60 international journals, more than 300 conference papers, and five books/book chapters. He is a member of the IEEE, IEICE Japan, ECTI, and EEAAT Associations Thailand. He was the Editor-in-Chief for the ECTI Transactions, from 2011 to 2013, the Chairman of the IEEE MTT/AP/ED Thailand Joint Chapter, from 2007 to 2010, the Vice President of the ECTI Association, Thailand from 2012 to 2013, and the President of the ECTI Association, Thailand from 2014 to 2015. He was the leader of Thailand Senior Research Scholar Projects of “Electromagnetic Applications for Sustainable Development in Thailand Industry” from 2014 to 2017 and “Innovative Sensor Technology using Electromagnetics for Thailand Development” from 2017 to 2020 granted by the Thailand Research Fund (TRF), Thailand. He is now the head of Wireless Communication Research Group (WCRG) at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, KMUTNB.
Prof. Dr. Yousuf Pyar Ali Hassan received his B.Sc. (Physics /Mathematics) from Aden University and then joined Mumbai University as a post graduate student. He successfully received his M.Sc. (Physics) in 1993 and immediately registered for PhD degree at the same university. He worked in the field of high energy ion implantation in semiconductors. His PhD thesis title is (Electrical characteristics of high energy 120Sn implantation in GaAs) and he awarded his PhD in 1998 with a good outcome research results which published in international recognized journals. Dr. Yousuf continued his research in the field of semiconductor devices in collaboration with Mumbai university and Tata institute of fundamental research-India and published many respected research papers. He promoted to associate professor from Hadhramout university of science and technology in the year 2004. Dr. Yousuf has been appointed as a visiting professor at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) in 2006. He worked with a research team at USM in the field of Gas sensing devices. Dr. Yousuf has been promoted as a professor at Hadhramout University in 2009. Recently, he is a professor of Physics at Jazan University. The main research interests of Prof. Yousuf is synthesis and characterization of thin films, structural optical and electrical properties of electronic materials, and nonmaterial devices.
